Description:

This seminar includes a clinical presentation with patient interview followed by a research presentation.

Learning Objectives:

  • To understand the current health challenges related to obesity in Canadian Children
  • To understand the developmental origins of adult disease hypothesis
  • To review the influence of early life exposure on subsequent cardiometabolic health in children and disease
  • To learn how studies in the basic science laboratory are helping us to unravel the mechanisms responsible for this relationship
