Stress and Pre-Term Delivery

McMaster University students created this video in order to share information with the portion of the public who would be interested in learning more about antenatal corticoid treatment. Antenatal corticosteroid treatment is an emergency procedure administered to pregnant women who are in high risk of pre-term birth within 7 days of the treatment. It is administered in order to stimulate premature baby’s lung function and development. This video goes in detail as to the benefits of the treatment as well as the risks involved.
