Learning Objectives:

  • Provide an overview of microfluidic technology
  • Demonstrate the application of microfluidic technology to artificial placentas
  • Recognize the challenges physicians face in distinguishing how a patient will respond to a given therapy for a chronic respiratory disease
  • Provide a functional example of precision medicine in cystic fibrosis
