Zika Virus: Should We Be Concerned?

Please complete our feedback form

Outbreaks of the Zika Virus in several countries prompted the World Health Organization to declare a public health emergency. So where did this virus come from and how do you know if you have it? Although most symptoms are mild, they can last up to a week. However, additional cause for concern arises from the link between the Zika Virus and Guillain-Barré Syndrome. Infection during pregnancy may also be linked to birth defects. This video examines the history of the Zika Virus, how it is transmitted, signs and symptoms and preventative measures.
