Learning Objectives:

  • To appreciate the clinical effects of allergic disease
  • To understand the need for new treatments for allergic disease
  • To understand how the immune system tolerates some proteins, but reacts to others, leading to allergic disease
  • To appreciate how we can re-establish long-lasting tolerance to allergen proteins, thus "curing" allergic disease
