Treating Allergies: Production of a Peptide Vaccine

Please complete our feedback form

This video explores the biological foundation for allergies as well as a promising new treatment developed called synthetic peptide immune-regulatory epitopes (SPIREs) that was developed by Dr. Mark Larché. This treatment uses small allergen peptides as a vaccination against a typical allergic response. Material was obtained from research by Elizabeth Simms, who is an MD/PhD student working with Dr. Larché.
